The Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries of Sri Lanka and the Daily FT have brought together an expert panel of speakers to examine the state of the share market.
Aptly titled ‘Share market volatility - Causes and Remedies’ the power-packed seminar will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 9 November) from 4.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at Hilton Colombo Residence, Union Place, Colombo 2. It will be moderated by Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim.
Among the speakers, will be CSE Chairman Krishan Balendra who will make opening remarks, LR Global Lanka Asset Management Managing Director Channa de Silva (Building Confidence with Market and Country), CT Smith Stockbrokers Director Sheyantha Abeykoon (on Market Reactions of Foreigners, Problems of International Market Spill Over), MP Dr. Harsha de Silva (on Regulators Interventions in the Market - Frequency and Confusion), Hemas Holdings CFO Malinga Arasakularatne (on Reasons for Market Illiquidity), and Brandix Lanka CFO Hasitha Premaratne (on Corporate and Country Performance and Growth).
Following these presentations a panel discussion comprising the speakers, United Motors Lanka Chairman Ranjith Fernando and consultant Chandra Jayaratne will be held.
