The Daily FT, which broke new grounds last year by being the first newspaper to co-host a packed post-Budget seminar, has this year come up with an impressive lineup of experts to share key insights to the Government’s upcoming 2012 fiscal program.
Organised in partnership with the MBA Alumni Association of the University of Colombo, the post-Budget 2012 seminar will be held on Thursday 24 November from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the Oak Room of the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera will be the Chief Guest along with his senior officials whilst the line up of top private sector leaders who will feature in a panel includes Brandix CEO Ashroff Omar, Access Engineering Chairman Sumal Perera, DIMO Chairman Ranjith Pandithage, Expolanka Holdings Group CEO Hanif Yusoof, Yarlpanam Chamber of Commerce Chairman K. Pooranachandran, Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings Managing Director Malin Hapugoda, Aitken Spence Director and Head of Business Developent and Plantations Dr. Rohan Fernando, John Keells Holdings Vice President and SLASSCOM President Sujiva Devaraja and APIIT City Campus CEO Dr. Athula Pitigala Arachchi.
Colombo University Dean of the Faculty of Management and Finance Prof. H.D. Karunaratne will provide an economists perspective whilst Gajma and Company Partner and specialist N.R. Gajendran will take on tax issues arising from the 2012 Budget.
