Several top corporates have come forward to arm deserving university students with the latest knowledge and insights on cyber security at today’s sold-out summit at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.
Over 10 corporates, as part of their corporate social responsibility, are sponsoring over 60 students to attend the fourth annual Cyber Security Summit organised by the Daily FT in partnership with CICRA Consultancies Ltd.
The corporates who are sponsoring them are LOLC Technologies Ltd., CIC Holdings Plc, Citi, Vallibel One Plc, Union Bank Plc, DIMO Plc, Hayleys Plc, Esna Holdings, Capital Alliance, Colombo International Container Terminals Ltd., HNB, Akbar Brothers, Carson Cumberbatch Plc and Overseas Realty Plc.
The students, who will attend today’s summit featuring global and local experts, will be from the University of Jaffna, the University of Moratuwa, the University of Colombo, the University of Kelaniya, the University of Sabaragamuwa, the University of Uva-Wellassa and the Open University of Sri Lanka.
The summit will be useful for students studying software engineering, computer science and IT subjects because they will benefit from the latest insights into the threats and challenges to cyber security along with their respective solutions. These students will also get an opportunity to network with industry professionals and senior corporate management.
