Several top CEOs of the country will receive key insights to threats and challenges to cyber security today at a forum organised by the Daily FT in partnership with CICRA Consultancies.
The much sought after CEOs Forum, a key part of the annual Cyber Security Summit, will be held today from 6.30 p.m. onwards at the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo.
This is the fourth consecutive Cyber Security Summit and CEOs Forum under the joint initiative of Daily FT-CICRA. Today’s invitees-only CEOs Forum featuring several top foreign experts will drive home the point that cyber security should be a board room agenda.
Among the international experts who will share useful insights are Hong Kong based Asia Policy Partners LLC Managing Partner Michael RK Mudd, Austrailian Deakin University Deakin University Centre for Cyber, Security Research Deputy Director Prof. Matthew Warren, Romania’s Council of Europe (C-PROC) Crime Program Office of the Romania Project Manager Dr. Matteo Luchetti, Cisco Head of Security Sales, India and SARRC, Pravin Sirinivasan and NetConclave Systems Founder, CTO and cybercrime expert Niranjan Reddy.
Featuring international and local experts the full day Cyber Security Summit which will be held tomorrow at the Cinnamon Lakeside has been sold out. It will be inaugurated by Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando whilst Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy will be the Guest of Honour.
As per the 2016 Vormetric Data Threat Report, 91% of global organisations feel vulnerable to data threats; enterprises and governments are focusing on compliance ahead of breach prevention; they also invest in technologies that do not prevent data breaches. But, the real data breaches are caused due to The Insider Threat.
