Departing from the usual practice of presenting the Central Bank Annual Report first to the Minister of Finance, the new administration yesterday offered it to the President. Here (Top) Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran hands over the first copies of the Central Bank Annual Report 2015 to President Maithripala Sirisena. An announcement from the Bank said copies were presented to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and as per terms of Section 35 of the Monetary Law Act No. 58 of 1949, it was also submitted to Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
