SriLankan Cargo carries first shipment from MRIA to Chennai

Commencing cargo operations from the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA), SriLankan Airlines’ cargo operations’ has taken over the first shipment to Chennai from its long-standing, top agent ExpoLanka Freight.

The shipment contained garment accessories, weighing 900kg.

A discount of 10 per cent on the current freight rates is applicable for shipments operating in and out of the MRIA. In a bid to assist the exports sector, a special introductory rate of USD 0.30 cents per kilo is also applicable for shipments between Colombo and Mattala.
