Currently SriLankan Airlines flies to seven Indian destinations, operating 28 flights a week to Chennai, double daily flights to Trichy and Cochi and daily flights to Trivandrum, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. It also operates seven flights a week to Karachi and codeshares with its sister airline, Mihin Lanka to facilitate the passengers bound to Bodh Gaya, Varanasi and Dhaka. SriLankan Airlines was nominated for the award by the Ministry of Tourism of the Maldives and The Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation.
