Sri Lankan student secures World Prize at May 2012 CIMA exam

Sri Lanka has secured a world prize at the CIMA examinations held in May 2012.

Seyeda Mowhiba Hibshy Mowlana won the world prize for Financial Management by obtaining 96 marks. It also saw the emergence of 241 students completing all examinations of the Institute in Sri Lanka.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants.

The May 2012 exam results, which mark the fifth diet of examinations under the 2010 syllabus, have seen excellent student performances from around the world. This highlights CIMA’s ethic, that dedication and study can produce exemplary results.

The outstanding performance of Sri Lankan students at the May 2012 examinations is a testimony of the dedication and the competence of the CIMA tutors in Sri Lanka.

CIMA has continued to work with quality learning partners to expand CIMA’s examination capacity and availability to provide stakeholders with greater choice and flexibility.

In September 2012 both the T4 part B Case Study and Strategic level papers will be available in Sri Lanka as PC based exams to allow resit opportunity for students and facilitate faster examination progression.
