Sri Lanka and India sign four bilateral deals

Sri Lanka and India yesterday signed four memorandums of understanding to further bolster strong bilateral ties. The signing of MoUs coincided with the two-day State visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka. The MoUs signed were: 1. An agreement between Sri Lanka and India on Exemptions From Visa Requirement for diplomatic and official passport holders. 2. An agreement between the Indian and Sri Lankan governments on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters. 3. A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Youth Development between the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India. 4. A Memorandum of Understanding between Sri Lanka and India for the Establishment of the Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Auditorium at the University of Ruhuna.
