The management and unions of the Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) have amicably resolved the differences of opinion ending the protracted dispute.
Industrial action at SLT was called off, following the commencement of negotiations between the trade union alliance and the SLT management.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed as a settlement to the issues raised by the unions in the presence of the Commissioner of Labour - Industrial Relations recently. Suspension orders issued on the trade union leaders from UNI Affiliates were withdrawn by the company
SLT trade union alliance led by Jagath Gurusinghe and SLT Chief HR Officer Jayantha Thilekerathne signed the MoU.
