Sicille Kotelawala arrested on arrival at BIA

Sicille Kotelawala, the wife of Ceylinco Chairman Lalith Kotelawala was arrested yesterday on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

Her arrest comes several years after she was put on an Interpol arrest warrant in connection with the litigation involving the collapse of Golden Key endangering thousands of customers.



She had arrived with a lawyer and doctors and was arrested by Immigration officials and later handed over to the CID. Sicille has been accused of violating the Immigration Law and had been issued with the Red Notice. 

However sources claimed as she needed urgent medical attention care, she was taken in ambulance from the airport to a hospital.
