Travel is a great source of stories and lessons, and Emirates, a global connector of people, places and memories, is inviting readers of the Daily FT and Weekend FT to share their reminiscences from cities around the world in an exciting new competition that kicks off on Wednesday, 18 January.
The Emirates Globalistas competition will run for six weeks, offering you an opportunity to send in travel anecdotes or travel tips relating to 18 popular destinations – three every week. Tell us something interesting you experienced at any of those destinations in 60 words or less and Emirates will reward the sender of the best travel anecdote or tip with two return tickets to one of the destinations featured.
At the end of the six weeks, the Daily FT will publish the 15 best submissions shortlisted for the grand prize and their authors will win attractive Emirates branded merchandise for their efforts.
“The Emirates Globalistas competition is intended to celebrate the vast global destination network of Emirates,” said Chandana de Silva, the airline’s Area Manager for Sri Lanka & Maldives.
“Emirates connects our country to the world through its network of 150 destinations on six continents, and is possibly the biggest facilitator of travel experiences for Sri Lankans. This competition is a great way for us to engage with travel enthusiasts and stimulate interest in the multiplicity of the travel experience.”
To participate in the Emirates Globalistas competition all you have to do is send your submission or submissions to [email protected] with your name, the destination and a phone number. Submissions may be made in respect of multiple destinations.
