The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka is committed to impart capital market knowledge and build awareness across all sections of the society in its endeavor to develop the capital market in Sri Lanka.
The SEC in association with the Batticaloa District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture has organised an ‘Investor Day – An Educational Workshop’ on Saturday 3 March 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at the Thevanayagam Hall in Batticaloa.
The ‘Investor Day’ will feature prominent professionals from the securities industry, who will address the gathering on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from basics of investing in the stock market, salient features of the stock market, risks and return in investing and investing in Unit Trusts. The lectures will be conducted to suit a diverse audience.
Representatives of the SEC, Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), Stock brokers, and Unit Trust Management companies will be present to make this program an ideal platform to assist the participants gather information, discuss and clarify their issues and obtain relevant clarifications whilst receiving appropriate guidance in relation to capital market investments.
