Sri Lanka’s maiden satellite launch, which was scheduled for yesterday, has been postponed by five days due to unfavourable weather conditions.
Space Systems Engineer Rohitha Rajapaksa said that a new launch time would be announced today.
The communication satellite is a joint venture between the Sri Lankan company SupremeSAT (Pvt) Ltd. and China’s State-owned China Great Wall Industry Corporation.
