Samsung’s U9000 Curved UHD TV provides a wider field of view, a panoramic effect that makes the TV seem even bigger than it is, offering twice the enhanced contrast ratio of a flat TV. Samsung’s Curved UHD TV has a curve of 4,200 radii, making it the most curved TV in the world, and creates the perfect viewing experience so everyone watching the TV can enjoy the best seat in the house.
Additionally, viewers can experience a 3D effect without glasses with the new Auto Depth Enhancer feature. In Southwest Asia, Samsung is introducing Curved UHD TVs available in 78-inches, 65-inches and 55-inches.
“One of the key pillars of growth for the Southwest Asian market is the strong trust we have built with our customers and partners,” Samsung South West Asia President and CEO B.D. Park told the launch attended by journalists from Sri Lanka including the Daily FT, India, Bangladesh and others.
“2013 was an exciting year for us as the market leader. In 2014, Samsung will continue to achieve positive growth by providing our consumers with innovative products and technologies that will help consumers discover a world of possibilities,” Park added at the launch, which was attended by Samsung regional and country heads including Sri Lanka Managing Director H.K. Chang.
Park also told the flagship event that the range of new products will boost productivity and efficiency across consumer and business segments. “Consumer passion is our passion and today Samsung is bringing a new set of human inspired innovative solutions,” he added.
The media launch was preceded by introduction to the new suite of products to business partners including several from Sri Lanka.
Via the two events and through its broad product range, Samsung demonstrated how it is bringing consumers seamless navigation, intuitive control and smart solutions into the home and workplace. Several products come with Samsung’s Digital Inverter Technology that provides significantly greater energy efficiency.
Samsung, which Park said emerged as the world’s eight most valuable brand in 2013, also launched the Xpress C410 and C460, the world’s first colour laser printer series with NFC capabilities.
Proving its leadership in the mobile printing market, Samsung unveiled its new mono laser printer and multi-function printers, the Xpress M2885 Series, as well as its series of colour laser printers and multi-function printers, the Xpress C1860 Series. The mono laser printers feature high-speeds of 28 pages per minute, while the colour laser printers can print 18 pages per minute.
Thanks to the NFC and Wi-Fi Direct technologies, users can simply tap their smartphones on the printers to easily and securely print pictures, documents, e-mails and web content.
