The new development phase in peaceful Sri Lanka has opened doors of investment opportunities in the country to members of business community in Saudi Arabia, said Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen.
Minister Bathiudeen was appraising Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al saud, Governor of Riyadh Region, when he paid a courtesy call on Prince Salman on 17 May.
Bathiudeen thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the generous development assistance extended through the Saudi Fund.
The Minister and Prince Salman Al saud also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation between both countries during this courtesy call.
He was accompanied by Ahamad A. Jawad, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Anil Sirimanne, Commercial Secretary of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh, among others.
Rishad meets UAE’s Sheik Hamdan Bin Rasheed Al Maktoum
Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen paid a courtesy call on Sheik Hamdan Bin Rasheed Al Maktoum (right), the Finance Minister of UAE and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on 23 May. Minister Bathiudeen briefed Sheik Hamdan Bin Rasheed Al Maktoum on the current economic and social development situation of Sri Lanka and informed him that Sri Lanka invites UAE investors to seize investment and trading opportunities in the emerging growth climate.
