Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake on Monday singled out Expolanka Holdings’ Group Managing Director Hanif Yusuf for being brave and venturing out to bring Japanese as a strategic investor and partner.

“At a time when foreigners were leaving Sri Lanka, Hanif Yusuf was bold and ventured out to bring Japanese investors in to Expolanka and their expertise and strength to boost the business,” the Finance Minister said referring to the Rs. 11.5 billion investment last year by Japan’s Sagawa Group.  He said such investments and businesses will be facilitated.
