Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe being welcomed on arrival at the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels yesterday
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived in Brussels yesterday to lead Sri Lanka’s efforts to regain the important GSP plus concessions for exports.
The Premier will hold discussions with top officials of the European Commission, European Union and European Parliament today.
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Belgium Rodney Perera said regaining GSP plus from the 500 million-strong European Union would help boost Sri Lanka’s foreign reserves by 10-20%.
The Sri Lankan delegation accompanying the Premier includes Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayake.
