The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is to undertake an Asian tour, will arrive in Sri Lanka on 24 March.
The Emir’s Asian visit includes trips to Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.
During his visit to Sri Lanka, Memoranda of Understanding covering youth development activities, development of sports as well as exchange of information, communications and information technology will be signed between Sri Lanka and Qatar.
During his Asian tour, which runs from 23-25 April, the Emir is expected to hold talks with leaders and senior officials from these countries over ways to enhance cooperation, strengthen ties and solve issues of common concern.
