One of Sri Lanka’s biggest beauty pageants, ‘Miss Tourism Sri Lanka International 2016 is currently on and its global contestants paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday. Twenty young delegates representing the Netherlands, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, Singapore, USA, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Poland, Thailand, China, India, Denmark, UK, Lithuania, Sweden, Japan, Luxemburg and Sri Lanka participated in the program. During their two-week stay in the country they are given the opportunity to tour around the country and experience its natural beauty, rich heritage, culture and lifestyle while joining in many activities showcasing the country’s culture and society, ensuring more awareness, interest and attention towards Sri Lanka.
