President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday ceremoniously declared open the first ever star class hotel to be built in Jaffna by Jetwing. The seven-storey hotel building offers 55 rooms with modern amenities and was built under a joint venture with MMBL Group, which provided the land owned by renowned Sri Lankan entrepreneur N.U. Jayawardena. The President also symbolically presented certificates to 67 youth who completed Jetwing’s hotel management course under its youth development program. Tourism Minister John Amaratunga, Northern Province Governor Reginald Cooray, State Minister of Finance Lakshman Yapa, Abeywardena, MP Vijayakala Maheswaran, Jetwing Chairman Hiran Cooray and MMBL Group Chairman Milinda Moragoda were also present
