The monk-led Bodu Bala Sena group said yesterday threatened that Indian National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon should turn back and return to New Delhi because the Indian Government had failed to secure Buddhist heritage sites in India.
Addressing a press conference yesterday BBS General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero said that there had been reports that the Mujahideen terrorists were going to attack New Delhi and Bodhgaya.
“Still the Indian security establishment failed to provide security to Bodhgaya,” he said.
“Shivshankar Menon should go back to India, Sri Lanka can manage our own security,” the hardline monk charged.
