Malaka mauled

Public Relations Minister Mervyn Silva’s son Malaka Silva was admitted to hospital with minor injuries following an assault last evening. Malaka Silva was attacked at the car park of a major clothing store in Town Hall, police said. He was admitted for treatment to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nawaloka Hospital. Silva was being treated for minor head injuries, sources said. Minister Silva said last night that a gang had unsuccessfully tried to abduct Malaka after assaulting him. He also said injuries were not serious.
