Worker remittances in the first half of the year have grown by 2.2% to $ 3.4 billion, according to the Central Bank.
The crossing of the $ 3.4-billion mark was made possible by an infusion of $ 629 million in June. In comparison to June last year, the 2015 figure reflects a 7.6% growth.
