A delegation from Israel will be in Colombo tomorrow for a trade mission and is set to meet with a number of Ministry officials during a seven day stay (25-31 July). Led by Sri Lankan Ambassador in Israel Sarath Wijesinghe, the delegation will represent key areas for development such as agriculture, dairy, high tech, water, tourism employment among others.
The delegation is set to arrive in the country tomorrow and will attend the first business meeting and one-to-one networking sessions on Friday (26).
Meetings have been arranged with the Ministers of External Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Investment Promotion, Irrigation and Water Management, Economic Development, Fisheries, and Water and Drainage during the course of the stay. The delegation is also likely to pay a courtesy call to the President depending on availability
The mission has been organised by Sri Lanka Embassy in Israel together with the Israel Embassy in New Delhi, Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce in Israel, Chamber of Sri Lanka and IBDU.
