Industrial work sites to be graded

Minister of Labour and Labour Relations Gamini Lokuge says the industrial work sites in Sri Lanka will be graded according to the standards of professional medical safety.

Addressing a seminar held Thursday to mark the National Professional Medical Safety Week, the Minister said the Government policy is to direct all industrial work sites to have at least one official in charge of professional medical safety.                   

The Minister also highlighted the need of a culture promoting professional medical safety among industries of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka marked the National Professional Medical Safety Week annually in the second week of October.
