Hapag-Lloyd has announced higher fees for exports as well as imports via Colombo with effect from Thursday, 1 September.
It has revised the Export Document Fee to $ 30 from $ 25 previously per Bill of Lading for all export shipments from Sri Lanka.
The fee will be applicable for each Bill of Lading and Sea Waybill.
The shipping line has also revised the Equipment Maintenance Fee for imports to Sri Lanka.
The new charges will be Rs. 600 per 20’ container of all types except temperature controlled or hazardous cargo; Rs. 1,200 per 40’ container of all types except temperature controlled or hazardous cargo; Rs. 1,200 per 20’ container if temperature controlled or hazardous cargo; Rs. 2,400 per 40’ container if temperature controlled or hazardous cargo.
The September revision follows a similar move effected from 15 August with fee Export Document fee increasing to $ 25 from $ 20 previously.
Revisions in Equipment Maintenance Fee reflects an increase ranging between Rs. 100 and 400 as opposed to previous rates also effected from 15 August.
