Key to post-war rebound, workshops to provide business excellence in Sri Lanka are taking place on 15, 18, 19 and 20 October at the IPM, 43 Vijaya Kumaranathunge Mawatha, Colombo 5.

On 15 and 18 October there will be a two part workshop on coaching for managers wanting to get the best out of staff.  On 19 October is a workshop for women succeeding in management.  The workshop on 20 October is for successful investing, both personal and professional.

Facilitation of all three, non-profit, workshops is by uniquely qualified British Psychological Society (UK) chartered occupational psychologists Dr. Chintha Dissanayake and Kim Stephenson.

Dr. Dissanayayake organised the first international conference on ‘Psychology @ Work’ in Sri Lanka in 2004 and continues to provide ongoing support for professional business development.

Her style of work was described by Dr. Maxwell, Lead Client Partner at the Prime Minister’s Office in London, as “collaborative and cooperative. We established an excellent working relationship based on honesty, trust and open communication.”

“Very useful and insightful” and “an unique professional viewpoint” were comments from Independent Financial Advisor attendees on Stephenson’s presentation at the Personal Finance Society conference in Warwick, England in September 2010.

The workshops have been developed as a combination of proven methods used in the UK and Europe, with the aim of bringing the latest business thinking to Sri Lanka.
