Environmental Resources Investment PLC Sri Lanka was presented with the prestigious international ‘Diamond Eye Award for Quality and Excellence’ by OMAC – Otherways Management Association Club, France at an awards ceremony held in Geneva, Switzerland recently.
ERI is the first Sri Lankan business entity to be presented with the ‘Diamond Eye’ award and was also awarded the certificate for T.Q.M (Total Quality Management) at this ceremony.
This international award for quality and excellence was initiated in Europe to recognise and reward companies from all parts of the world which have proved themselves in the field of quality and excellence.
Otherways Management Association Club is founded as a part of Otherways International Research and Consultants business stimulation and promotion program. Otherways Management and Consulting Association is a member of the American Management Association and American Marketing Association.
The award is selected through a voting process based on key concepts such as leadership, customer satisfaction, business results, continuing education and trading, etc. In addition to the voting process, information is gathered through consultation of the media, consultancy companies, advertising agencies, trade fairs and exhibits, chambers of commerce and embassies.
This year’s awards ceremony was held at the grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva, Switzerland on 28 November 20011, which was well attended by representatives of more than 48 countries as well as consular and diplomatic corps of the relevant countries selected for the award.
“We are indeed delighted to have won this accolade which shows the supremacy of our quality and excellence in carrying out our daily operations, and the high level of importance that we give to quality and business excellence,” said ERI Chairman Lalith Heengama.
“We are happy to present this award to ERI, which is also the first recipient of the ‘Diamond Eye’ award from Sri Lanka and we wish them all the best,” said Charbel S. Tabet, President of Otherways Management Association Club, France.
The award was received by Heengama from Tabet. ERI Director Gamini Sarath Munasinghe was also present at the event.
