Longstanding CEO of the Colombo Stock Exchange Surekha Sellahewa is quitting with effect from October citing personal reasons.
A spokesman for CSE said the CEO has give notice four months in advance and the Board will discuss the process to get a successor when it meets later this month.
Industry sources said Sellahewa having served the CSE for over two decades had wanted a change.
Sellahwa has been the CSE CEO for seven years, prior to which she was Senior Manager - Listings and Surveillance and in 1991 as the Manager Surveillance and Enforcement.
She joined the CSE as an Assistant Manager of Surveillance and Administration in 1990 after leaving Mercantile Tours Ltd.
