CP World Group, a freight forwarding and logistic supply chain company with over 55 offices in 28 countries, will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Colombo this week.
The AGM, which will be held from 11-13 November, is considered a landmark opportunity for Sri Lanka to establish itself as a hub destination and preferred access point to the Indian subcontinent.
CP World Group CEO Ken Chiang in a press release stated that the opportunity was considered taken the post-war positive performance of Sri Lanka and its potential as a growing market. “With a sales force of over 1,500 employees offering its customers unsurpassed service quality, globally connected with its unique network members allows its group members and associates the perfect platform to deliver better than the competitors,” he said, adding that the company was established to offer its valuable clients a total solution in freight industry with tailor made solutions at affordable price by connecting cargos to any destination by land, sea or air.
CP World Lanka Managing Director Suraj Perera said that it was a great honour and a morale booster to the entire freight forwarding fraternity in Sri Lanka to be the host this year around.
“This will certainly explode Sri Lanka on the international market to recognise its importance of Colombo as a transhipment hub to the Indian sub continent.”
