The Beckham family cut short their $ 400,000 Christmas break in Maldives as it would not stop raining.

After three days of downpour, the family boarded a private plane back to Male airport the day after the Christmas, before heading to somewhere sunnier, the Sun reported.

It was a major disappointment for the family who arrived at the One and Only Reethi Rah resort last Sunday, hoping to stay for 11 days.

David had booked the most expensive suite at the complex, which cost a whopping 8,600-pound-a-night.

Three others rooms, each at 3,700-pound-a-night, were also booked and made ready for the couple and their sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, Cruz, seven, and 18-month-old daughter Harper.

It is estimated the family’s decision to cut short their holiday would have set them back around 60,000 pounds just on lodgings because the hotel is not obliged to refund money just because of bad weather.
