Basil suffers a stroke

UPFA MP and former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody at the Colombo National Hospital’s Merchant Ward, was admitted to the hospital’s Cardiology Unit on Monday night after he suffered a minor stroke.

However, according to reports, Rajapaksa was discharged from the Cardiology Unit after several tests were carried out and transferred back to the Merchant Ward.
