For the first time in eight months, apparel exports have achieved a growth year-on-year (YoY) in November.
As per Central Bank data, apparel exports in November amounted to $ 364 million, up by a modest 4.6% over the $ 348 million achieved in the corresponding month of last year.
Industry analyst said it was the first YoY growth since February this year, when YoY growth of apparel exports was 1.4%. Since then and until November, apparel exports have suffered YoY declines ranging between a high of 16.6% (October) and a low of 2.2% (April).
Apparel exports in the first 11 months of 2012 are down by 4.6% to $ 3.6 billion.
