Amarasuriya appointed as NDB Chairman

NDB Bank yesterday announced that Hemaka Amarasuriya, former Chairman of Singer Sri Lanka, has been appointed Chairman and Softlogic Group Chief Ashok Pathirage has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the bank.

Issuing a statement, the bank said that the appointments had been made on 4 August.

Amarasuriya was also Vice President of Singer Asia and Retail Holdings Limited of USA. Pathirage has been Managing Director of Sri Lanka’s Softlogic Group, which he co-founded in 1991. He is also Chairman and Managing Director of Asiri Hospitals Group.
