Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne yesterday said that he will not give up the fight against the corruption and fraud regardless of how many no-confidence motions were brought against him by the Joint Opposition (JO).

Making a special statement at a media briefing held at the Health Ministry, Minister said the JO can bring 10 no-confidence motions, not just one, but he will continue his fight.

A motion of no-confidence signed by 39 members of the Joint Opposition against Minister Senaratne was handed over to the Speaker of Parliament.

“With a few baseless unsubstantiated allegations, the Joint Opposition has handed over a bankrupt no confidence motion to the Speaker. They have brought this bankrupt no confidence motion because of their ignorance,” the Minister said responding to the motion.

“I will win this no-confidence and in the end my confidence will be confirmed,” he said.
