‘Village Biz Festival’, a gathering of over 100 social entrepreneurs from across the country will showcase their products under an innovative event aimed at creating awareness on sustainable business and life patterns with the main focus on up-cycling, recycling, sustainable products.
The novel event which follows the highly successful Pumpkin Farmers Festival will be held along Green Path, Colombo-7 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today.
The event is organised by the Sarvodaya Development Finance (SDF) and HNB as a Co-Partner which together carries out socially responsible activities under the COEXIST Foundation.
The Festival will be a fun event for the entire family with music, art, wellness among its other components. The event is an attempt to create a movement of inspiration for system change and positive impact in South East Asia and beyond.
This international event named as ‘COEXIST’ will focus to enhance the possible sustainable approaches of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs.
Hundreds of entrepreneurs from across the country will show case their products. The event will facilitate learning and understanding the framework on sustainable business as well as lend a helping hand to uplift the lives of village entrepreneurs, an official of COEXIST said.
