UNP to launch manifesto today

The United National Party (UNP) will launch the party election manifesto today, 16 July, as the election campaign heats up amidst concerns of new COVID-19 clusters.

The General Secretary of the UNP, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam told Daily FT that the manifesto will be launched in Colombo today by party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe. Wickremesinghe is expected to return from the campaign trail to attend the launch this evening. The manifesto is to be launched online simultaneously.
