Global giant Standard Chartered Bank has come forward for the eighth consecutive year to be the Strategic Partner of the Daily FT-Colombo University MBA Alumni Association organised unique annual pre-Budget Forum on 4 October at the Hilton Colombo.
This year, given the significance of their contribution to the national economy, the pre-Budget forum will exclusively feature women in business and women professional leaders.
This is the first-ever exercise of its kind involving women leaders in an upcoming National Budget.
The identified women leaders will be given five minutes each to share their key recommendations or ideas with Finance Ministry officials for consideration in the preparation of the 2019 Budget.
State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne will be the Chief Guest whilst senior officials of the Finance Ministry will be present at the Forum, participation at which is by invitation only.
