Special stamp, first day cover for National Insurance Day

The special stamp and the first day coverissued to mark the National Insurance Day, which falls today (1), were presented to President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday at the President’s Official Residence.

Deputy Minister of Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs Dulip Wijesekara made the presentation. 

Steps were taken to declare 1 September as National Insurance Day according to a request made by the insurance corporations under the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka. 

Insurance Board of Sri Lanka Chairperson Indrani Sugathadasa and Director General Damayanthi Fernando were among those who participated in this occasion.
