Cabinet has green-lighted calling for applications for a second time to select a forensic audit company with international expertise for the Central Bank.
The Cabinet paper presented by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera sought approval to call for applications a second time as there were large discrepancies in the fee structures presented in the first round of bids, a notice from the Government Information Department said yesterday.
The Procurement Adversarial Committee appointed by the Cabinet had therefore recommended that a second round of bids be called with their guidance to select an appropriate company.
The forensic audit company will be conducting forensic audits on organisations and institutions under the purview of the Central Bank.
