Encouraged by wider benefits at enterprise level, Sri Lanka Telecom and its subsidiary Mobitel are to expand the use of Oracle applications to further enhance the Group’s agility and prospects.
SLT Group Chairman P. G. Kumarasinghe, who is attending the ongoing Oracle OpenWorld 2018 in San Francisco, told Daily FT that deployment of Oracle ERP in 2015 was one of the biggest investments and Oracle Customer Relations Management (CRM) was added. “We plan to add Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions as well,” the Chairman added.
He said that implementation of these solutions had helped SLT and Mobitel progress well in their technological transformation, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
Commenting on his first Oracle OpenWorld2018 experience, Kumarasinghe said that it was an overwhelming learning experience and enabled SLT Group to identify new opportunities to take forward the digital transformation initiative.
