Sri Lanka Insurance (SLIC) recently paid the largest claim ever in the history of Sri Lanka Insurance pertaining to banker’s indemnity insurance. The Rs. 157,484,139 worth claim was settled to Bank of Ceylon (BOC) Thalawa Branch for a burglary claim.
The cheque of the claim was handed over to BOC General Manager D.P.K. Gunasekara by Sri Lanka Insurance CEO Chandana L. Aluthgama. BOC AGM – Administrative Services A.R. Mallikarachchi, BOC Chief Manager – Supplies Department/Ceybank Insurance H.M. Gajadeera Arachchi, SLIC Head of Distribution – General Insurance Lalith De Silva, Senior Manager – Corporate Business Division Milanga Chandiram, SLIC Asst. Manager for Public Sector Achintha Jayawardhane were also presented at the occasion.
Sri Lanka Insurance Bankers indemnity insurance covers various risks related to the banking sector inclusive of fire, riot and strike, burglary, theft, robbery and various financial risks pertaining to routine operations.
