The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) yesterday confirmed that it will take part in today’s discussions with the President.
“We will participate in the discussion,” SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara told the Daily FT.
He said the decision was arrived at after several rounds of discussions with all independent parties.
All party discussion is scheduled for today at 10.30 a.m., chaired by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to form an interim Government.
Previously, SLFP said it will not take part in any discussion with Gotabaya Rajapaksa-led Government after its party members, Shantha Bandara and Suren Ragavan accepted Ministerial portfolios.
