CBSL yesterday submitted its observations regarding the Forensic Audit report to the Committee on Public Finance yesterday in keeping with a directive given by the Committee to do so.

The Committee chaired by TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran which met yesterday noted that there was a notion that it would be unethical for CBSL to provide their own observations to a report that CBSL had commissioned and hence postponed discussion on the matter after advising CBSL to strive towards strengthening their system based on the findings of the reports.

State Ministers Susantha Punchinilame, Tharaka Balasooriya, Kanchana Wijesekara and MPs Dilan Perera, Bimal Rathnayake, Mayantha Dissanayake, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe and Dr. S.M. Mohamed Ismail were present the committee.
