Parliament sittings will be limited to one day this week, Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake said.
The Committee on Parliamentary Business chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, which met yesterday, decided the House will convene only today considering the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation. Earlier, four days of sittings were scheduled.
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID -19) (Temporary Provisions) Bill will be taken up for debate along with two Orders under the Excise (Special Provisions) Act and two resolutions under the Section 10 of the Customs Ordinance (Chapter 235).
