Former Western Province Governor Azath Salley will appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) probing the Easter Sunday attacks today.
Representatives from the Kattankudy Mosques Federation, as well as representatives of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), will also give evidence before the PSC. The Committee is meeting for the first time since President Maithripala Sirisena voiced his opposition to the PSC, and said serving officers in the military establishment will not be allowed to appear before it.
In response, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya warned that those who refuse to appear before the Committee once summoned would have to face repercussions.
