PM to summon Parliament on 8 Feb. for special debate

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on 27 January asserted that he would summon Parliament on 8 February to debate the bond report.

The Premier made this statement while addressing an election rally in Morawaka, Deniyaya.

He said he requested Speaker Karu Jayasuriya to summon Parliament following demands by Chief Opposition Whip and JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake to hold a special parliamentary session on the reports of the presidential commissions.
