A report on the objectives of ‘sustainable development’ was presented to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Thursday at the Parliament premises.
The report was compiled in a bid to review the objectives of Sri Lanka in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by all United Nations Member States, by 2030.
The five-member committee was chaired by Foreign Ministry Additional Secretary Ahmed Javed, while other members include Additional Secretary to Prime Minister Anton Perera, Dr. Lloyd Fernando, Prof. C.S. Weeraratne, and Chamindri Saparamadu.
The report was compiled under the guidance of Foreign Affairs Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
Additional Secretary to Prime Minister Chaminda Kularathna was also present at the occasion.
