The 7th Annual Cyber Security Summit, organised by CICRA Consultancies, will encompass a three-day series of sessions, from the 23 to 25 September. The Night Hack will take place on 24 September.

The evening will feature three demonstrations. The first will be conducted by event headliner Dr. Sam Bowne. He is the proprietor of Bowne Consulting and the founder of InfoSec Decoded Inc. USA. He has conducted demonstrations at DEF CON (USA and China) since 2007 and been credited with discovering vulnerabilities in many Android apps in most of the top ten banks, brokers and insurance companies. These include the Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase Manhattan and Charles Schwabb. Dr. Bowne’s demonstration will draw from his knowledge, expertise and experience from being a distinguished ethical hacker.  The second demonstration will be conducted by Cellebrite APAC Sales Engineer Ajay Krishnan whose demonstration will be on ‘Gaining Actionable Intelligence from Digital Devices – the Cellebrite Way’. He has worked closely with the Sri Lanka Navy on technical training and operations while serving as Liaison Officer for the Sri Lankan delegation at defence and security summits in India. He will combine his technical and sales acumen on automated security solutions with his prior military experience with the Indian Navy for over a decade to enrich his demonstration.

The third demonstration will be done by CICRA’s own Senior Cyber Security Analyst Raed Naseem. He possesses a wealth of experience in terms of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, which he will project onto his demonstration on compromising a fully patched Windows domain controller, which is the heart of a network. He will explore the possibility of an entire network being compromised – ‘Could This Be Possibly Be a Zero-Day Vulnerability?’

The Night Hack is a platform for ethical hackers to display their skills by way of demonstrations. The audience will gain a better understanding about corporate IT infrastructure, and the need for proactive strategies to ensure IT security for enterprises. The session will be an evening of edutainment that will highlight the importance of recognising ethical hacking as a profession and hiring ethical hackers to probe the shortcomings in IT systems.

The level of expertise and experience that will be brought to the Night Hack on 24 September at Cinnamon Grand is unparalleled. For registrations contact 11 2556 402 or +94 76 8253 412 or visit www.cybersecuritysummit.lk.
